The Gateway Burn is a three-day camping event that upholds the principles of Burning Man. We will gather to build a sense of community, a community of radical self-expression, radical inclusion, decommodification, radical self-reliance, communal effort. Together we will create, dance, sing and celebrate.
The event is entirely organized and staffed by volunteers. The goals of the Gateway Burn will never include making money. No cash transactions are permitted at the Gateway Burn. There are no concession stands. This is a gift-based economy. If you need something, ask. If you have it, share!
All participants are expected pack out what they packed in, and are encouraged to recycle what they can. This is a strict Leave No Trace event.
Ticket pricing for anyone over the age of 12 will be as follows:We will sell no more than 300 tickets. There will be NO GATE SALES. Tickets can only be purchased by members. Tickets will no longer be transferable after Wednesday September 24th.
Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and everyone will be expected to present a valid ID along with their ticket at the gate. Tickets do not need to be purchased for children 12 years and younger. There will be a waiver at the gate, very similar to the one you agree to here, that you will be asked to sign at the gate. This waiver will have an additional space for parents to sign for their children.
